Re: Tomas Berdych withdraw of Basel

Perhaps he just wants to prepare well enough to defend his title in Paris, he knows he's got a legitimate chance to repeat last year's feat there.

I don't know about Djokovic. Anyway it's a pity that both of them have withdrawn. Basel had originally such a great line-up, at least they still got Roger, Nalbandian and Gonzalez.

Roger Federer

Richard Gasquet, Marcos Baghdatis, Tomas Berdych, Evgeny Korolev, Stanislas Wawrinka, Fabrice Santoro, Paul-Henri Mathieu, etc

Ouch! Basel struck hard. I'm expecting Federer and Fena to waithdraw by tomorrow morning (at least one of them).
What's wrong with Djokovic?

Now that's a withdrawal the people of Basel should be upset with!

Go for another Paris Masters title Tomas!

I'd rather wait those extra 5 seconds seeing those boobies bounce than watching some fatass kid burn away his bigmac meal.

I didn't realise "embarrassment" was accepted as a reason to withdraw

shhhhhhhhhhh it. Meh, time to rest up for Paris, which is much more important.

Best twitter posts of the epic match:

@dougrobson - Whoever is supplying Mahut with hair gel needs to ink a sponsorship deal now.

@Wimbledon - FYI, with @Wimbledon live scoring devices, please add 50 to the games in the fifth set of the Isner v Mahut match.

@HolterMedia - Nice to see that a three-day test has come to tennis here @wimbledon.

Gonzalez probably won't withdraw, cuz he's shit scared of not qualifying for TMC.
Federer won't withdraw. He's coming to Basel to please the nation's media.

He will win it this year, and never show up again.
According he goes deep in Madrid.

That's his attitude towards Davis Cup also. He has greater accomplishments to look forward to, his only priority is keeping Switz in the World Group.

Re: Tomas Berdych withdraw of Basel

Federer and Gonzalez will be there and as for Berdych well not playing Basel to improve his chances of defending Bercy, well it's a tough choice.

On Nadal bumping him on the changeover, Rosol said: "It's ok, he wanted to take my concentration; I knew he would try something".

Wilander on Dimitrov - "He has mind set on imitating Federer and yes it looks good. But he has no idea what to do on the court".
