Market Odds for Roland Garros

Early times, sure, but here is the early market:

Current RG Odds

1. Nadal- 3.75
2. Djokovic- 3.95
3. Murray- 5.1
4. Wawrinka- 8
5. Federer- 16
6. Nishikori- 21
7. Thiem- 22
8. Tsonga- 36
9. Kyrgios- 48
10. Delpo- 50
11. Dimitrov- 60
12. A. Zverev- 65
13. Raonic- 65
14. Sock- 70
15. Monfils- 80
16. Pouille- 80

Will be very interesting to see how this unfolds. RG is wide open, imo. Although I'd love to see La Decima obviously, Wawinka winning a 2nd one is also possible

Reasonable odds, except the bolded part. Also odds for Robredo are missing.

Re: Market Odds for Roland Garros

If nothing changes regarding Djokovic's form then Nadal will be bigger and bigger favorite as RG approaches. Things are looking good for him ahead of clay season - much better than in previous years.

Re: Market Odds for Roland Garros

I think nishioka will be a threat in RG

The possibility of Federer becoming year end number 1

I may be able to be #1 again and smack that ass

Re: Market Odds for Roland Garros

This odds are outrageous.

First of all, how can Federer be at 16? Truth be told, even after the AO win i thought Federer was too old for this shit. But when i see how awesome he plays in IW on a slow, high bouncing surface, i have to reconsider. He seems to take the ball with his improved backhand a little bit higher, what can make a huge difference on clay.

Secondly, Murray is on 5.1, and Wawrinka on 8? Come on. Wawrinka's game is suited for clay, and he destroyed Djokovic in an epic fashion two years ago. True, he lost against Murray last year, but this was just a bad day in the office. Wawrinka is clearly the better player on clay and has the higher chances to win RG again.

Last but not least, Nadal should be the heavier favourite. I mean, the guy won the fucking tournament NINE times. And his start into the season was decent.

Unfortunately, i do not gamble, because i need all the money for schnaps and whores. But there's definitely some easy money here.
Sophocles, vladisimo and paca like this.

Federer & Wawrinka -> unstoppable Swiss power

Nobody has placed a bet on Robredo yet

Murray is where he is because there is a better chance of him making the 2nd week it seems that Wawrinka, who we all know blows hot and cold. Wawrinka at 8 may be a good bet, but don't expect that number to be there still if he beats Roger today.

Best Roland Garros player in the world, didn't drop a set at last year's RG, and was up 3-1 in the 5th set of the AO Final (and the AO is the only slam he hasn't won twice, while he's won NINE French Opens!).

It's all good on paper.. I waching Rafa since 2006 and in his physical condition i don't think that Rafa could win another slam.. only if he will improve his court movement.

Re: Market Odds for Roland Garros

About right I think. I want to see Fed's new backhand on clay, I think his odds should maybe be a bit shorter if it helps as much as I suspect it might.

I might take Wawrinka's odds up also. He's a former champ in good form.

At RG it's not the case really. Besides that loss to Garcia Lopez 3 years ago, when Wawrinka obviously hasn't yet learned to deal with the pressure of being a Slam and a Masters champion, he has basically no upset losses at the French. The only other "upset" loss was to Gonzalez in 2008.

Nadal basically won the AO this year, so he proved he can still win slams.
3-1 up in the 5th set is as good as a win.
Plus he won 2 five-setters
I think he was better this year than 2014ao.
