Easy.

Sock played well in the second set just to choke away the tie-break.

Nice day at the office for Federer.

Fed has a chance to pass Nadal and get to number 6.

a bit worrying as roger needed to return better in the second some errors could be avoided

but overall Roger continues to impress

Call 911, Federer just got out of jail

Great first set, poor second set. Sock played well in the second set and has potential, but rushes everything and needs to return better

Re: IW SF: Federer def Sock 6-1 7-6(4)

first set too easy

in second Sock played better and Fed looked like he didnt try to much to get that break

Bad TB from Sock after going a mini break up

First set was easy for Fed, great play and Sock was unable to bring his best. He fought back in the 2nd which was basically an even set from start to end, with Fed just edging it in the TB. Very good play from both overall with some errors thrown in. Sock especially impressive behind 1st serve, but struggled behind his 2nd. Enjoyable match

Sock raised his level on the 2nd set but it just wasn't enough.

NID victory in two sets, what more could Fed ask for?

Not a very entertaining battle. Roger getting the crowd more riled up when clowning around after the match than during the actual match.

Sock was trash in the first, better in the second. Federer's level in the second was pretty poor to be honest. Did well to pull out the breaker though.

Re: IW SF: Federer def Sock 6-1 7-6(4)

As Federer just said in his sky interview, Sock had a shocker of a first set and the 2nd set was more like what we were expecting.

Title is now Fed's to lose.

Congrats to both - Sock should be commended for his good run here.

Nervy second set with Federer failing to find his first serve and Sock playing better. But still good enough to get the win. Backhand still good though not at the level seen against Nadal which is expected. Let's hope he sorts his serve out for tomorrow.

great win. Was pretty comfortable in the first but 2nd set was quite tough Sock was playing very well. Great stuff from Federer to clutch it out.
