Indian Wells R4: Federer def. Nadal 6-2 6-3

Funny to think it took Federer roughly 12 years to figure Nadal out, but there you go!
Granted, Nadal is one foot slower than he used to be at his peak, but Federer is too. So, all things considered, even the clay match-up, Federer with this tactic of 2017 would have never in a million years given Nadal the chance to even come close to him in the past had he ever played with this game plan in mind. Anyway, the bridge is definitely closed since AO, and this match just cemented this fact. ABSOLUTE GOAT.

Bye.

Nadal's level from match-to-match has been more impressive, and I think he'll finish #1 this year.
Just didn't play great vs Federer.

Federer is the best #NextGen player

Sublime performance. Ridiculous backhand. Painting lines everywhere. Forehand wing was in full flight too. You just have to stand and applaud that kind of play.

Re: IW R4: Federer def. Nadal 62 63

Incredible really. In their last 2 matches Federer has somehow managed to turn his backhand from the punching bag of this rivalry to the shot that does the bullying. Impressive that he won so comfortably in these relatively slow and high bouncing conditions - that Australian Open final has clearly done wonders for his confidence in this match up.

I believe this is also the first time in his career that he has beaten Rafa 3 times in a row. Congrats.

Nadal didn't play bad. Federer played better than AO.

Re: IW R4: Federer def. Nadal 62 63

Maybe Nadal should retire.

I'm actually more excited about another Fed-Kyrgios than the roasting (tasted good though).
