Madrid QF: Safin v Nalbandian, Who will win?

Head-to-head, Safin leads Nalby, 6-1
Also a good preview for the Davis Cup final

I would love Marat to win, but the blog is too powerful.

Re: Madrid QF: Safin v Nalbandian, Who will win?

The winner will play Roger possibly, so it's gonna be a semifinal showdown. Of course it is after this match.

I'd like Safin to win, because I'd like to see him playing Federer. But Nalbi plays better, he reached semis and now escapes from Henman; he gained confidence boost and Safin is a freak, therefore I say Nalbi in 2 or 3

it s be Maratski but this will be muy interesante, considering the DC F coming up [and the fact that Marat already took out Chucho this week]

Re: Madrid QF: Safin v Nalbandian, Who will win?

Nalbandian has been really impressive during his last 2 matches, coming back in the 3rd set both times.

But that head-to-head against Safin (1-6) is just too discouraging (although their last match at the US Open was very close). His only win against Safin has been on clay, and I have a feeling that Safin will pull through with this one yet again.

Form suggests that Safin should win easily.

But the power of the blog may be dissapated since Nalby has only written one blog in four days.

I like a lot of players.

Well, Safin only lost to Nalby once, and that time he couldn't hold the racket properly, so... The match-up suits him and he, no doubt, has the higher top capacity. However - as always with Marat - it's about wether he can keep it together mentally. If he can - Safin in 2. If not - who knows?
