Good win for Haas, but Hrbaty should have taken one of his six set points in the second.

Was it six or five? In the TB, was he really down 3:6 or was it 4:6?
Anyways, finally a good fight again.

He was break down in the 2nd set, but managed to rebreak. Then Haas had 0:40 in his service game at 5:6, but Hrbaty couldnt convert any of those 3 set points.

Next up is probably Nadal.

Re: T. Haas d. D. Hrbaty 6:3 7:6(6)

agreed on the break point situation. 5:6, 0:40, that was pretty much Hrbaty's big chance to turn around the match. In the tie-break he also had his chances at 6:5 and own serve... well, I'm happy Tommy didn't have to play a 3rd set, so it's all good.

Tommy didn't think he'd win that 2nd set

Nice win. After losing to Hrbaty in Madrid last year and last week in Vienna this will hopefully boost his confidence. I am excited about the possible Nadal/Haas match.

My scoreboard jumped from Haas at 3/5* to *4/6 so I can't be sure. To be honest I expected another Haas implosion, but he did well to kept fighting and wrap it up in two.

Re: T. Haas d. D. Hrbaty 6:3 7:6(6)

Very good win and effort of Tommy this time!
I knew he can beat Hrbaty, but I wasn't so sure after this horribly bad performance in Vienna last week against him. Even better that he turned it around this time

Carlos --- C'MON Lleyton!!! --- Kiwi!!! --- Jürgen --- Juan

Best of luck to all Germans : Nicolas Kiefer | Rainer Schüttler | Lars | Florian | Tommy

Tommy. Could be a great match next up against Nadal if Tommy can play decently.

Given the surface and the quality of Haas's backhand, he could definitely trouble Nadal on this surface, given that he plays well (a big if, no doubt).
