Manuel Orantes?

Anyone know what he is up to these days? The internet search, at least in English, was not helpful. Thanks.

Re: Manuel Orantes?

I don't know what he's up to.

This might be a good place to ask those who watched it: what happened to him in the 1974 Roland Garros final? He won the first two sets against Borg and then only won 2 more games! (6-2, 7-6, 0-6, 1-6, 1-6)

I believe in luck. How else can you explain the success of those you don't like? ---Jean Cocteau

Ah but what about his only slam win when I believe he came from behind to beat Connors. I asked about him because a flash from my past contacted me this weekend and Orantes was someone I had briefly met while parking cars as a teenager at a local tournie

You and your insider stories!

It's true, he didn't manage to win in Paris, but he nabbed a claycourt major in the USA!
