Thanks for the numbers.

I was surprised to see that Gonzalez had not won one this year.

Is there something wrong with a former top 5 player having 4 titles?

Uh, not sure where you pulled this from. Fed has 9 titles and 3 slams.

Re: 2006's tournament winners until now...

Eh? He deserved all of them (well, he was a little fortunate to win those two that were decided on final-set tiebreaks, against Andreev in Sydney and Roddick in Indianapolis), and if as a Chilean you're a supporter of Gonzalez you don't have any right to suggest that Blake's game shouldn't be winning him titles.

Interestingly enough, if he does win tomorrow and makes it five titles for the year, it'll still be a far inferior year to Roddick's "disastrous" 2005; it goes to show that players are understandably judged by different standards relative to their status in the game.

The Wit and Wisdom of the Tennis Journalist, Indian Wells 2004

ROGER FEDERER: Yeah, I remember this one time when I went on a vacation on the Maldives. That was in the year 2001, I think. I went to this spa. I went to walk around with my girlfriend. I walk in, and we want to book a spa. This guy goes, "AHH, I remember you. You beat Sampras. I saw you on TV." That was like, really, how can you remember me? This guy has probably never been off his island and still knows me. I was a little bit shocked. Then I went to play tennis with him because he was actually the tennis teacher. It was nice.

Q. Were you naked at the time in the spa?

ROGER FEDERER: No. It was at the front desk. I didn't walk in naked.

Sorry , but I´m not fan of Gonzo , you´re wrong . Either of Blake , they both are players without brains IMHO

Yeah , Blake former number 5 but any important title .
Why Blake was 5 ? . That's my question

off topic : Few titles for Rafa

If he didn't, then Croatia has one less title...

*runs to check*

Edit: no titles for him yet. Croatia has 3 titles.

Blake was never a Former top 5....just because he had a cup of coffee in the top 5...... to be a former you need to finish the year in the top 5
