Gonzalez v Roddick - No tiebreaks in this one!

These two gentlemen have met on 8 previous occasions, with Roddick leading 6-2 head to head.

Roddick has also beaten Fena quite comfortably 3 times this year.

Both players are coming into this match with good form, and it should be a cracker of a match, provided Fena keeps his head.

I'd probably still go Roddick...although if I may bring gambling into GM, Gonzo is possibly worth a little nudge.

I see it being similar to his R1 Acasuso match...although maybe not a bagel

If there are no tiebreaks, Gonzo has no chance. He has nothing on Roddick's serve.

Roddick, but I'd say 2-1. Seems like Gonzo playa a little bit worse than in summer

Re: Gonzalez v Roddick - No tiebreaks in this one!

Roddick 2-0.

Gonzalez does not return the Roddick serve well.

The current greatness league of active players in order of achievements to date (a factual comparison rather than fan biased assessment):

Federer 17 GS, 6 Year End Masters, 24 Master Series.
Nadal 14 GS, 27 Master Series, 1 Olympic Gold.
Djokovic 9 GS, 4 Year End Masters, 24 Master Series.

I like Gonzo, but Roddick in 3. Roddick "in form" is simply better.

Re: Gonzalez v Roddick - No tiebreaks in this one!

At least this surface isn't too quick, but as much as I like Gonzo, it will be very difficult for him to win.

On Nadal bumping him on the changeover, Rosol said: "It's ok, he wanted to take my concentration; I knew he would try something".

Wilander on Dimitrov - "He has mind set on imitating Federer and yes it looks good. But he has no idea what to do on the court".

Roddick with ease. Gonzalez can't read his serve at all.
