Kedmund walking into defaults left right and centre - vintage Tankarino nonsense, had previously got point penalties, then this at the end:

from the gif above the video tweeted, looks like sheer spite earnt him a point penalty earlier on.

The clownery before the default was pretty blatant. No way do you hit the ball in that vicinity twice by accident.

Was he trying to hit someone on purpose but make it look innocent?

Is Mannarino's thing these days to win easy challengers so he gets into ATP draws then to blatantly tank once there?

A shame, he's fun to watch when he's on.

I don't know why Mannarino has become a world class tanker all of a sudden. He just gives up when he is down in a 2nd set. I was at the match vs Isner in Atlanta when he was booed off the court for not even attempting to get to returns that inner was hitting late in the 2nd set.

not 100% - he'd already got point penalties for earlier incidents + in conjunction with wildly hitting the ball to the same place twice in a row i'm guessing he also may have audibly said something at the end there?

however, whilst on the topic of Mannarino tanks, there's of course this classic effort on set point:

emotion, Beta2k and Chokehater like this.

losing 6-3 5-0 against a player like Edmund is a good reason alone to be disqualified
