Such a tight contest, both were not letting up in service games but Tsonga just so full of confidence and quite strong in the TBs. High quality tennis from both.

All signs pointing out for a wonderful DimiGOAT vs. Tsonga F.

Better and more likeable player wins, good result for tennis.

Good match. Both guys played well. Hoping for a Jo vs Dimitrov final.

Great stuff from both. There wasn't a lot that separated them and it could have gone either way to be honest. Tsonga almost botched the TB with a typical choke, but come up huge when down set points at 6-7* and *7-8. Then it was anyone's game, but Tsonga was a little more fortunate this time in this difficult match-up. Let's hope he can keep it up in the semifinals against Berdych, but beating two big-hitters consecutively is a tough ask given he has a bad match-up against them. I have no expectations from here on in.

Cilic looking much better, but he still needs some more wins to build momentum and confidence. Tsonga just too clutch today when it mattered most.

Just didn't play great vs Federer.

Embarrassing loss for Mugrin to his pigeon (5-1 H2H before the match)

Tsonga has hit 10 BH winners.

It speaks volumes.

2014: Dubaï ; Monte-Carlo ; Shanghai / 2015: Dubaï ; Cincinnati : Fakervic and the weak-era tards continually exposed by Olderer

Yeah, Cilic played well, much better than he had recently, but this kind of a loss can potentially put him back into the dire form. He needed a win here, no matter how close, flukey, etc.

As for Tsonga, let's see how he will deal with Berdych, against whom he has always struggled hard.

whatta battle at the entrance of top 10

4 guys, a handful of points away from each other, very interesting

Quite a good match overall, Tsonga with a couple one handed passing shots, almost wasted a 5-1 lead in first TB, to save SPs and finally win it.

Likeable match and result. On to the next one.
