Congrats Juan, it was expected after his results in Mumbai and Tokyo. I am glad to see Korolev also having a career high ranking, I now expect both of them to get direct entry into the Australian Open.

Re: JMDP becomes youngest in the Top 100!

That's the goal and I think both Korolev and del Potro will be able to achieve direct entry to the AO , just a couple more good results should do that.

On Nadal bumping him on the changeover, Rosol said: "It's ok, he wanted to take my concentration; I knew he would try something".

Wilander on Dimitrov - "He has mind set on imitating Federer and yes it looks good. But he has no idea what to do on the court".

Congrats JMDP!!! He weill need some points to enter directly to the AO, cos he won a challenger in the of last year. Anybody knows his upcoming schedule?? I saw him in the alternate list for Madrid qualifying

he's a bust, if he cant make it into the top 100 after some months on tour then he is a bust...

He is doing fine, he won a challenger at Lubbock after the US Open. His game is not as developed as Korolev or JMDP at this point, but I wouldn't be surprised if he broke into the top-100 after the US early hard court season next year.

Re: JMDP becomes youngest in the Top 100!

Novak's reign was bound to end sooner or later but hey he is not that bad right now . I am guessing he will be the youngest in the top 50 and then top 10 far longer . Good luck to Juan Marin Del Potro and Eugeny Korolev

Re: JMDP becomes youngest in the Top 100!

And when Cilic reaches top 100 within some months he will be the youngest guy in top 100 . . It's depends on when the player was born and not how precocious the player was when reached that group.

I don't see the point of posting that stat but posting for instance who were the most precocious players to reach the top 100 among active players

1.Nadal : 16 years and 10 months
2.Gasquet : 17 y and 3 m
3.Hewitt : 17 y and 9 m
4.Del Potro : 18 y and 0 m
5.Federer and Djokovic : 18 y 1 m ( and the same days )
6.Safin : 18 y and 4 m
7.Murray: 18 y and 4 m
8.Berdych :18 y and 4 m
9.Acasuso : 18 y and 6 m
10.Korolev : 18 y and 6 m
11.Roddick : 18 y and 7 m

Congratulations for JMDP , anyway

Re: JMDP becomes youngest in the Top 100!

Congrats JMDP As for his schedule josemanuel - well he was scheduled to play in the Vienna qualifiers this week but had to withdraw as he was still involved in Tokyo at the time. He is actually 20th Alternate for Madrid qualifying which means his only realistic chance of playing there is if they give him a Quallies Wild Card. There are many rumours that he will indeed get this - but sadly in the end it will probably go to some unknown Spanish journeyman who will lose in the 1st round instead So his only definate ranking tournament this year now is the Copa Petrobas Challenger in Buenos Aires in November.
