Del Potro makes sushi out of Ginepri 6-2 6-2

Congrats Juan.

The top 100 isn't far away now.

On Nadal bumping him on the changeover, Rosol said: "It's ok, he wanted to take my concentration; I knew he would try something".

Wilander on Dimitrov - "He has mind set on imitating Federer and yes it looks good. But he has no idea what to do on the court".

Another quality win to add to Moya, Chela & Verdasco. Well done JMDP.

It's a good win by the rankings, but I am not sure if I call defeating Gineprick a quality win. Ginepri's ranking will be going south.

Hope Juan can build on it and he should finish the year inside the top 100 barring injuries.

Re: Del Potro makes sushi out of Ginepri 6-2 6-2

I was going to make a threat about this "bet youre mortage on it" Del Potro will beat Ginepri, but I was too lazy, anyway I knew he was going to win, has the game to beat ginepri, and ginepri is known to choke against youngsters and against anyone really, lol.

I think Del Potro is top 100 for sure with this win.

Agreed about Ginepri, but it's still a good win nonetheless.

I'm sure he will, only injury can stop him as you say.

IMO he is a lesser version of roddick whose focus is simply on a bludgeoning game. I think he lacks intelligence in the slightest especially after watching a barely moving murray take him out at cincy

He is just rubbish and can run well on hardcourts and the key there is lacking on court intelligence. I mean Berdych, Blake and Tursunov are not tennis Einsteins at all, but at least they have some firepower and talent.

del Potro will be a future Bandwagon Player of the Month award winner.

Re: Del Potro makes sushi out of Ginepri 6-2 6-2

He's been my BandWagon player for a long time Someone told me this win will put him into the Top 100 (he is 103 at the moment) - but I'm pretty useless at working out rankings so I don't know if that's true or not! Anyway - I'm still happy! Well done Juan

Re: Del Potro makes sushi out of Ginepri 6-2 6-2

looks like Tim will have a very tough third round, he predicted that Ginepri would win and that he would be underdog for the match, I still think the way JMDP is playing that Henman is underdog against him anyway.

Glad to see the promise is being realised!
