I won't bet my money on this, but I believe it is highly able that Federer will win Wimbledon and US Open this year. Let alone FO, it is quite crazy to think about it (though this man has shown us that nothing is impossible on his hand).
- Federer: his current tennis is adequate to win slam. Serving well, backhand is even better than 2014/15, solid movement. And this guy has plans for every situation, unlike young guns around who can hit hard but have no idea what to do on the court. High confidence and no pressure, but never feel bored with holding slams title. Finally, injury is troublesome and problem unpredictable, but this guy always knows how to save his best for Grand Slams.
- Opponents: only thing that prevented Federer clinched Wimbledon and US Open in 2015 is a tremendous Djokovic. I don't see any man with such level in the tour at the moment, while Federer is back and ready. Djokovic has been declining, which is a result of mixed factors (motivation + fitness + appropriate game). He is in a state quite similar to Federer in 2010-11 and Nadal 2015-16 - try to play his prime game while his ability has dropped from prime, and is unsuitable with his "prime game" anymore. So I think it will take him about one year - not only to be motivated again, but also to adjust his game properly. Other guys in the tour are not easy to beat, but no one is unbeatable. Beating 4 top-10 player in 2 weeks in a slam is evident enough.
- Conditions: Wimbledon court is always Federer's favorite condition, no doubt about that. US Open will possibly use Decoturf II surface like Cincy, as the current trend of speeding up the game like what we have seen in Melbourne.
With these reasons, I can see Champ19ns and Vic20ry coming this year
