Will Nadal end the year as world number 1

He's got a great chance of doing it, I can see him dominating the claycourt season and he will also have a strong US hardcourt swing as well.

Do you think Rafa ends the year as world number 1, yes or no

After Nadal beats Federer on Sunday, he would of had more Grand Slam titles in the last 3 years than supposed peak Sir Andrew Murgray

Re: Will Nadal end the year as world number 1

Even if he wins the title on Sunday he still hasn't proven he has the consistency and ability to say injury-free for long enough so my guess would be no. I do certainly expect him to rise a few spots above his current ranking though assuming he plays a full season this time.

And good for him if he does.lets be honest though, Wafa has been gash for three years now by and large on tour.he rested up for the second half of last year and comes into this AO fresh and all the cards have fallen nicely... doesn't make him nailed on to sweep the season does it? he will do his vanishing act again soon enough, probably after the FO, he may stick around long enough for his now yearly humiliation at Wimby at the hands of some scrub first hopefully though.

No, but he can probably win more big titles than Murray did last year.

Lol. 1 Slam, 3 Master's, 1 WTF, 1 Olympic Gold (or equivalent)

Your letting your hate of Murray blind you. No way he will do that well this season, did you not watch the Dimitrov match? His forehand is still pathetic.

Not sure why you've taken that attitude, Tim. Nadal is simply very high in my estimations, a stunning player. He has had seasons where he has bested that before. He looks like he is coming into his own, mate.

How soon did you forget the 2013 season? RAFA took the YE #1 despite not playing the AO and this year he'll be crowned as the champion come Sunday. After this post of yours I wish RAFA overtakes MUGRAY in rankings ASAP.
