Australian Open SF: Nadal def. Dimitrov 6-3 5-7 7-6(5) 6-7(4) 6-4

Amazing Really a great and entertaining match, Dimitrov put up a much better fight than I thought tbh

The way Nadal played from 3-4 15-40 in the decider since the end of the match was sensational. So much clutchness. Tennis needs Nadal, I said it

Early candidate for MOTY

Peak Diva throwing everything at RAFA and yet he responded in a GOAT-worthy way

DCGS is in the bag now since this was the "real" final. #15 officially on Sunday

Re: Australian Open SF: Nadal def. Dimitrov 6-3 5-7 7-6 6-7 6-4

Instant classic.

Best AO match since Djokovic-Wawrinka 2013, both fought their hearts out through the 5 hours.

Dimitrov One of the best performances of his career, I sincerely wish him a Wawrinka-like success in the future. Extremely clutch in set 4, didn't drop his level or choke at all till the end.

Nadal Peak fighting spirit, his stamina is so impressive.
I'm glad we'll get another Fedal match on the largest stage, a spectacle for all tennis fans and non-tennis fans no matter the result.

Enjoy every moment of tennis. Enjoy the rise of the young, the brilliance of the peak, and the passion of the old. Enjoy dominance, enjoy diversity.

Fight. Drama. Shots. Epic matches, fun stats, tennis!

OH MY GOD...

Greatest match I've seen for a long time, unreal battle. Nadal is simply the greatest warrior of modern age

Heads off to Dimitrov, what a contrast to the last 2 years and it's all mental I think.

Congrats to everyone that able to witness this amazing spectacle. This is why tennis has the highest peak of all sports.

Disgusting result. Nadal to win the final is pretty NID if Fed is even slightly injured.

Yet again, the post-Djokovic generation falls flat. Dimitrov certainly had chances at 4-3* in the third, but played super passive on BP, which Nadal saved well, then absolutely gifted the next game.

Dimitrov was so close. The final set alone so many ebbs and flows. The BPs not much could be done but I wish he would not resort to defensive slice all the time and rip some CCs not to be that easy for Nadal to knock off closing in the net. But really focused for the most part.

Only live score and commentary and I was almost having heart attack. Nadal goes into the final after RG 2014! Unbelievable. Outstanding effort from Dimitrov! I will catch the highlights later.

Re: Australian Open SF: Nadal def. Dimitrov 6-3 5-7 7-6 6-7 6-4

Very similar to the 2009 Verdasco match

Verdasco had 0-30 at 4-4 in the 5th and couldn't capitalise.... Then got broken and lost immediately.

Dimitrov 15-40 at 4-3 up on Nadal's serve and couldn't convert.... Then got broken immediately and Nadal serves it out.

One took their break points at the clutch moment and the other one different. That was the only difference in the match.

Intense match, sets 2-5 were all over an hour long. I'm not a fan of Federer or Nadal but I'm still happy we get one last final between those two, looking forward to it.
