I feel like I need to apologize to the man for being kind of mean and disrespectful.

We have already a thread for Istomin, Zverev also deserves it.

His success today might inspire a lot of players to believe that S&V didn't die and you can still win in nowaday's tennis with variety but not only with steady and consistent baseline game. This is the big service to the game :worship: I still don't enjoy a lot his game aside from great volley skills, but it doesn't matter.

Also he went through many injuries since he broke through the ATP tour a long ago and it meant so much for him having tears in his eyes after both Isner/Murray defeats. Ironically he is the first brother to become a Grand Slam QFist.

I hope Fed comes through Nishi and we have an old-school QF which would be a breath of fresh air.

Just to remind people of some of your mug posts on this subject. Credit for apologising but you come across as someone who finally took the time to watch tennis and realised you had to do this to make up for all the nonsense you posted before. ;)

Attacking is quite an exaggeration.

Although he comes to the net and has some crafty hands (still worse than Lopez and sometimes with desperate approach shots) he can't hit a baseline winner to save his life and turns into outright pusher and slicer when isn't permitted to the net.
Watched Zverev a lot and every time was bored as hell. (and I mostly like net-minded players)
When Mischa first broke through and reach 45 in the world, he did with exciting, attacking tennis. He lost his way for a few years and his game was ineffective but you have had many opportunities in the last six months to see him play that brand of attacking tennis again. His matches against Djokovic and Gasquet were some of the most exciting matches in the Asian swing last year. The problem is that poster like you clearly don't even watch tennis other than 90 second highlights are are more interested in coming on here and talking trash.

It's great to see Mischa playing great tennis again and if exposes some mug MTF posters along the way, so much the better.

I didn't apologize for my view on Zverev's game. As I stated I still mostly don't like it except for this great and fresh S&V aspect (which I agree is enjoyable) and find it quite boring. I apologized for my rudeness in that aspect and have my total respect for the guy which game is not my piece of cake.

I have no idea how you make these conclusions without knowing if I am watching or not. I said that I watched Zverev quite a lot and I have no need to lie.

Pathetic from you not to focus on Zverev's achievement but on gloryfying your own ego.

I feel bad for Murray not using his best chance to win this AO and his nice fans. But this result was amazing for one particular Murray fan sapeod guy. He went apeshit when Djokovic lost. Let him sink into this.

I watched this whole match maybe unlike some of the others who may not have because of the time difference. I have watched Murray plays tons of matches and honestly I've never seen someone who was unexpected to win against Murray stay so mentally strong and confident in his own game throughout the match. When Murray was pressuring, he ended up GOATing on serve and his net skills were just obviously consistently quality. Andy could have played with a bit more quality and shouldn't have led his break point leads slip but still it was very impressive from Zverev. I had hardly seen him play before.

Zverev's game is only attractive when he's volleying at 800% like he was today.

I might be wrong, but I think I read a post of yours last week where you said something about a player whose game is based around volleying missing elementary volleys. I think it was Zverev. What a turn around, if so.

He's normally not great any time I've watched him (in his entire career), at the top level. Also tanked a lot of matches. One of those guys that tanks matches, claims he's injured then plays doubles later that night.

Great opportunity for him this week. I think Federer will quash him, though.
