Re: Should Pat McEnroe have tried to pick Agassi instead of Blake?

The problem is that Agassi is physically incapable of playing tough tennis now, especially on clay.

No.

The great thing about democracy is that it gives every voter a chance to do something stupid.

I think Mcenroe should have stolen Nadal and had him play all their rubbers

Why not Courier then? Or Sampras who has an experience of winning in that very venue on clay in 1995?

My real question is why do USA still not having Connors as the captain. PMac has no energy whatsoever to give to his players. He is like a vegetable on that bench..

Re: Should Pat McEnroe have tried to pick Agassi instead of Blake?

The problem is that at the moment there are no American players who can play their best tennis on clay.
So why does it even matter who the captain is?
PMac had no other options.
I think Roddick played as well as he could've played today.

As for Agassi,
You know, he's found YOU and taking the memory of YOU for the rest of his life, meaning RETIRED.

Agassi retired, no?! I don't think Andre would make an exception for DC. Maybe he could also Brother John and Pistol to pitch in- I think the US would win handily

Yes... vs. another team of banged-up 40-year-olds.
