Obviously still a long way away, but Novak's loss raises further questions about his dominance. I always still considered him the favorite for RG, simply because Murray has not been good on the surface until recently, and Nadal has much to prove.
Yeah I agree with this assessment. The clay masters will be more informative. whoever win 2/3 will be the favorite, but if it is split like last year, It's probably back to Murray/Djoko, shout out to Stan. Can't rule Nadal out but he hasn't really shown anything since last clay season.
Probably Murray at this point, but it really is impossible to predict. I think you have Murray/Djokovic, then Nadal/Wawrinka, and then it's mostly dark horses who can just as easily be bowing out in the first few rounds (Dimitrov, Delpo if healthy, Thiem...)
You could make a case for any of Nadal, Djokovic Murray and Wawrinka. I think it will certainly be one of those 4. I'm edging towards Rafa at the minute.
Bourgue has been 'taken care of' since getting out of line. 1-6 2-6 against Bahamonde, 2-6 3-6 against Toledo Bague, 4-6 2-6 against De Greef, and so on.
I get the feeling Djokovic will be getting his 4th straight grand slam loss. The last time he had 4 consecutive grand slams without a title... FO 2013-FO 2014 so 5 consecutive. Djokovic in one year will go from holding all 4 grand slams to holding none of them!
The favorites are Mugray, Rafa, Wawrinka, and Djokovic. I think Mugray wins it (wins AO and FO, for 5 grand slam titles total and at least 1 each of the 4 grand slams joining the rest of The Big 4).
If Murray doesn't win RG this year, I reckon there's a fat chance he'll finish his career without both AO & RG.
