If Rafa wins the 2017 he'll be the first male tennis player since Rod Laver in 1969 to have won at least 2 of each grand slam. The same goes if Djokovic or Rogie do it at the 2017 FO (or second if Rafa wins the 2017 AO, else first). Rogie, Rafa, and Wawrinka (since Djokovic's now out) all not making the finals would mean a new winner for sure (i.e. Mugray or Raonic)! So this AO is very big for Rafa!!
I fully expect nadal to lose to zverev or raonic. Let him get to the final first before any of this talk starts. Even in the final he can be beaten by stan, murray. I highly doubt nadal even makes it to the final as I am expecting both nadal and fed to go out in r3/r4.
Djokovic winning French is the most feasible option. Nadal has not even played in a QF since RG 2015 and you cannot expect him to win a slam all of a sudden again. Federer at RG is also a case for the past.
