Re: WWW Australian Open 2017 - Draw and Discussions
Am I the only that feels like Federer can beat Murray at Australian Open but will get destroyed by the likes of Djokovic, Wawrinka and Nadal? Hopefully they meet
I don't know what you're talking about, RBA is currently better than Federer. That would be quite tough for him, actually, even if Federer has got the variety and skills to beat the kinds of RBA. Not sure it would be enough right now though.
Nadal to get a piss-easy draw, as usual. I'm not expecting him to face a Top 50 player before the QFs, if he even gets there.
2008-2011 Young Djokovic was always in PeakFederer' half at AO & USO, whereas Nadal in the other half, for numerous SF encounters Federer-Djokovic before F.
2013-2015 Djokovic was always together with peak Wawrinka at AO & USO in 4R/QF or SF, whereas Nadal in the other half with Olderer, for numerous 5-setters Stanimal-Djokovic before F.
Djokovic was almost always (when they were not seeds no.1 & 2) in Nadal' half at RG, for numerous encounters Nadal-Djokovic before F.
So, it was Djokovic who hands-down had the hardest GS draws ever in history just to get into the GS finals, being almost always drawn with peak Federer at HC slams (later peak Wawrinka) and with Nadal at RG i.e. two GOATs on their best surfaces respectively.

Djokovic to get the easiest draw ever. Either something similar to USO or the far more likely scenario: Djokovic gets outplayed and outclassed in the first week to an average player (as usual), drops the first two sets, there's a rain delay, the match gets pushed to the following day, and Djokovic is magically rejuvenated. He casually bagels the mug.

Possible but the one that is likely to have an easy draw is actually Murray. Can't remember the last time he had a tough draw in Australia. It was actually pretty comical in 2016.
Re: WWW Australian Open 2017 - Draw and Discussions
After what I've seen in Doha, it'll take a miracle or Stanimal to beat Djokovic on these courts. I feel Fedal won't make the QF's and we won't be spared from a Djokoray final.
Re: WWW Australian Open 2017 - Draw and Discussions
My preferred order of RAFA's draw:
R1-R2: Brown (not only he has a puchable face, but also didn't deserve to have a positive h2h against RAFA) > Fognini (RAFA should revenge him for US Open'15) > Coric (revenge for the undeserved wins at Basel'14 and Cincinnati'16) > Troicki (revenge for Shanghai'16) > Verdasco (revenge for last year's AO) > anyone else
R3: Federer (an easy opponent and RAFA's source of confidence) > Richard Gasquet (the easiest opponent possible) > Cuevas (revenge for Rio'16) > Ferrer (not dangerous nowdays, but gives a good practice) > Karlovic (one-dimensional servebot) > Isner (better than Karlovic, but still) > Sock (can trouble RAFA, but will never beat him) > Zverev (can be dangerous)
R4: Thiem (he is terrible now) > Monfils (can't trouble RAFA) > Cilic (looks like he isn't in good shape) > Wawrinka (revenge for AO'14) > Nishikori (revenge for the Olympics) > Raonic (revenge for Brisbane) > Murray > Djokovic (10-4 at Slams is coming)

Rafa can't play TOP 4 in R4. Djokovic, Murray, Wawrinka and Raonic are possible rivals in QF.
Also, I would be more careful with wishing this kind of crazy draw. Last 2 years tought me a lot of respect for most of Rafa's opponents.
Re: WWW Australian Open 2017 - Draw and Discussions
Just curious (please take no offense), if Federer is in the semi and Djokovic has already won the other semi, do Federer fans want Federer to win the semi?
Re: WWW Australian Open 2017 - Draw and Discussions
I for one ALWAYS want Rogie to win, plus getting to the finals would be grand slam final #28 for Rogie, meaning the next man to have the most grand slam finals appearances would need at least 29!

Have a feeling Raonic will make the final
