Federer against the "other" talents in history...

I know...given my reputation, people are going to assume that I am writing an-anti-Federer thread, but I was just thinking, what interesting match-ups against other players in history than the legends would you like to see Federer, or for that matter, Rafa play...My number one:

Federer vs. Leconte on an indoor surface!!! What do you think? If they played 10 times, what do you think?

Great match-up...but remember...its the other talents...those who are not legends of the game...In my mind, a three-time French Open Champion and only year-end #1 from South America falls into that category...

Another for me:

Federer vs. Mecir

Wait a minute, did Pancho have a two-handed forehand? WOW...since people have changed the topic to include legends, how about:

Rafa vs. Wilander

Lendl is the best, he beats them all. He is Czech.

How...Borg vs. Federer at Wimbledon...what do you think if they played ten times? I think it would likely be 5-5...but can you imagine the atmosphere...Borg, who was never rattled, being forced to move around by Roger...what a potential match!!!

What about Connors vs. Roger, at night, at the U.S. Open in the former main Stadium, Louis Armstrong?

Re: Federer against the "other" talents in history...

while its fun to speculate lets be honest most of the old time guys in their primes couldn't beat Marcos Daniel in this day and age. The agassis and sampras' that played this era are different but the old school guys. Games changed too much. I mean whitey ford was a great pitcher in his day but he didnt have to pitch to pujols. Now if you handed them all wood rackets and told them to go at it, that could be interesting. I played a wood racquet tourney locally and I launched so many balls it was scary and ended up losing to a guy I beat earlier in the year 1 and 2 cause his serve and volley game adapted a lot easier to it then my game did.
