Sabau def Coria 3-6, 7-5, 6-4

How many more points does he defend this year? Lets hope he is out of the top 100 by the Australian open, and out of the top 50/60 for the first master events of next year...

He had a few match points in the second set when Sabau was serving at 4-5.

Just a first round win in Madrid and a first round win in Basel to "defend" until the AO.

He is down to 83 which must be among the fastest drops in tennis in 1 year. Top 10 to barely inside top 100.

The current greatness league of active players in order of achievements to date (a factual comparison rather than fan biased assessment):

Federer 17 GS, 6 Year End Masters, 24 Master Series.
Nadal 14 GS, 27 Master Series, 1 Olympic Gold.
Djokovic 9 GS, 4 Year End Masters, 24 Master Series.

Didn't Coria receive ranking points during last year's Tennis Masters Cup in Shanghai?

But he didn't qualify for semis so he doesn't have so many points to defend there.

It's a completely disaster.

just checked and he has 75 points from Madrid, 5 from Paris, and 25 from Basel.

He needs 6 withdrawls to get into Madrid, and he wont get into Paris.

I just don't know when this will end. He didn't even serve that many double faults today yet got broken almost every service game. He's able to break his opponents at will, I think he broke 9 times today and still lost. It's just such a huge issue with the serve now, and god know if he'll ever be able to sort it out.

I'm sure he is not going to play any Carpet Tournament.

I would like to see him playing Buenos Aires Challenger.
