Which is Nadal's greatest achievement?

Undoubtedly THE best clay court player ever, Nadal has managed to set remarkable records and achieved some truly amazing feats throughout his illustrious career. But which one of them is the best one, according to you guys? And why? Which achievement will you always cherish?

Re: Which is Nadal's greatest achievement?

Nadal won 3 slams in a row in a calender year, on 3 completely different surfaces.
Only man ever to do it.
But I'll say 9 French Opens is greater.

Nadal deserves more credit for his achievements in the game.

Unless some huge doping scandal surfaces he will go down as one of the greatest of all time.

Re: Which is Nadal's greatest achievement?

Restraining old man to 17 slams who could have easily gone on to win 25 slams and keeping the GOAT slam count within the reach of mortals and keeping the GOAT discussion ongoing, current, and relevant. Djokovic was nowhere in sight back then.

Imagine old man winning 25 or more slams, how many young tennis players would even dare to equal or surpass that slam count?

GOAT is still within the attainable heights, thanks to Rafa.

9 French opens with only 1 loss is mind blowing. Won't ever be matched, especially with guys development slowing the way it has.

This is a question? 9 RGs.

Federer - Emperor of the Slams, King of Hard, King of Grass, Lord of the Australian Open, Lord of Wimbledon.

Re: Which is Nadal's greatest achievement?

9 Roland Garros titles in 10 years/Winning Grand Slam titles for 10 consecutive years

Totally disproves a popular belief that RAFA declined too early. As long as you can't name another player who managed to keep winning Majors for so long, you are in a losing position.

2 losses - Soderling also beat him, not in straights like Novak, but still impressive

NOVAK - DELPO - DAVY - ERNIE G.

Re: Which is Nadal's greatest achievement?

81 consecutive clay wins, 2 channel slams and 9 RGS, the latter being stupidly good. Will be clay GOAT longer than Federer will have the GS record.
