Talking All -tards; share your stories.

In an attempt to find out more about some of the more player-obsessed members of this forum, I was just wondering; what was it that sparked your interest in your favourite player, and when did you actually start to follow them? Did you get the chance to see them in real-life?

There must have been something that set them apart from the other guys on tour right? Do share.

Re: All -tards; share your stories.

I first heard of Andy Roddick when I watched a show called "100 Hottest Hotties" in the summer of 2004. He was number 64 on the list, I believe. I saw him and thought, "Wow, he looks just like Seann William Scott" who is one of my favorite actors. I didn't think anything of him until they got to Gabrielle Union on the list, who's also one of my favorite actresses. He said how he had such a big crush on her and that he'd ask her out if she weren't married. I thought, "What a cute guy."

In September, I was just channel surfing and saw that he was playing a match. Of course, not knowing anything about him or tennis, I didn't know this was the USO or that he was the defending champ. I like Andy Roddick because one of his was the first match I ever watched. It was his 2004 USO quarterfinal. All I remember was that the match was up and down. He was winning then losing.

I left my house to go to brother's home to bring him something and he was losing. Right befor I left my brother's home to go to my home, he was winning. When I walked in my room to look at the rest of the match, it was match point against him. I watched him lose the first professional match I ever saw. I didn't watch another match until Wimby 05, and I've been hooked ever since.

Re: All -tards; share your stories.

I am definitely an Ollietard. I am pretty sure (and I have people to back this up) I am the biggest Olivier Rochus fan on MTF. Ever since I first saw Ollie play, he has won me over. I am not a big person myself, so the ability for Ollie to beat the taller players was awesome. I have been a huge Ollie fan for years now and plan to follow him until he stops playing (hopefully not soon at all). I have seen Ollie play once, a couple of years back in Long Island. Well, there is my story of how I became the biggest Ollie fan ever. Lets hear some more!
