Re: Shaghai 2006 players

Like the title "Shaghai" I hope the players are only going for the tennis.

The current greatness league of active players in order of achievements to date (a factual comparison rather than fan biased assessment):

Federer 19 GS, 6 Year End Masters, 26 Master Series.
Nadal 15 GS, 30 Master Series, 1 Olympic Gold.
Djokovic 12 GS, 5 Year End Masters, 30 Master Series.

Roddick, Davydenko and Ljubicic are close. They need just win a couple of points.

FREDERICO GIL - RUI MACHADO - GASTÂO ELIAS - LEONARDO TAVARES
MICHELLE LARCHER DE BRITO - NEUZA SILVA - FREDERICA PIEDADE - MARIA JOÃO KOEHLER - MAGALI DE LATTRE

THE FUTURE
GASTÃO ELIAS

1. R. Federer 1324
2. R. Naldal 825
(Classiffied)
3. A. Roddick 434 (GS186, MS165, optional83 - 5th result 8)
4. N. Davydenko 418 (GS191, MS65, optionals162 - 5th result 24)
5. I. Ljubicic 416 (GS156, MS168, optionals92 - 5th result 4)
6. T. Robredo 374 (GS97, MS186, optionals91 - 5th result 3)
7. D. Nalbandian 370 (GS202, MS128, optionals40 - only 1)
8. M. Baghdatis 369 (GS244, MS56, optionals69 -5th result 3))

Next positions are:

9. J. Blake 365 (GS95, MS125, optionals145-5th result 4)
10. M. Ancic 338 (GS115, MS110, optionals113-5th result 3)
11. T. Haas 318 (GS110, MS46, optionals162-5th result 20)
12. D. Ferrer 285 (GS90, MS123, optionals72-5th result 4)
13. F. Gonzalez 280 (GS38, MS183, optionals59-5th result 8)
14. R. Stepanek 268 (GS72, MS108, optionals88-5th result 3)
15. L. Hewitt 263 (GS137, MS15, optionals111-5th result 8)
16. J. Nieminen 250
Problem that Blake, Ancic and Haas have is there is little room to gain optional points. Baghdatis can gain many, Nalbandian has massive scope to add, Ljubicic and Robredo can also gain.

First 8 have everthing going for them.

The current greatness league of active players in order of achievements to date (a factual comparison rather than fan biased assessment):

Federer 19 GS, 6 Year End Masters, 26 Master Series.
Nadal 15 GS, 30 Master Series, 1 Olympic Gold.
Djokovic 12 GS, 5 Year End Masters, 30 Master Series.

Re: Shanghai 2006 players

I think Ljubicic already overtook Davydenko. He gained 4 points this week.

Re: Shanghai 2006 players

Not possible because his 5th optional result is 4 points.
