This Djokovic =/= 2016 2nd half Djokovic!

I recommend you to rewatch the match, just to recalibrate your expectations about AO. That court plays fairly slower, and if Murray couldn't win here in Bo3 (where he supposedly had all the advantage: faster court, coming with confidence into the final etc.), he'll given the extra task to do it in Bo5.
As said, he should invent some new tactics, because his usual one isn't working against Novak.

Watched the game so.
To tell the truth Andy was a better player in last two sets. Novak was lucky again to vulture that one! What a stroke of good luck

What a great first ATP final of the year, hoping for many more to come this year!

Positive signs for both players, Djokovic seemed much closer to his form in the first part of 2016, moving much better and being the more attacking player. Andy played much better than in the prior rounds, but his forehand was still a weakness. It should work better in Australia, but we'll see. Good to see him fighting back from a set and a break down and not packing it up as well.

Billie Jean King is not my lover.

Only in the 1st one where sir Andy was hunting for his own game

Much like The Thing, this result goes to show you cannot leave any part of Novak untouched on the court. Must finish the job in its entirety or it can get you and multiply. Murray isn't a Verdasco either so every match is new but those 5 MPs squandered made quite a difference. I think it will be quite a tussle come AO for supremacy.

I have not been here quite some time. Who is this guy? When he became mod? Anyone?

Match was really good from both. Novak looked much better than last couple of months 2016.Andy defence is unreal

Hope for a good AO

Probably the best final you'll ever see at a 250 level tournament. Rematch in Melbourne.

You know the weak era has set the expectations incredibly low when this is now called a great match.

Looks like Nole will be back to the real #1 spot at AO. The superior talent from Murray at the net is not going to be enough, specially in a slower court compared to this one.

And the most hilarious thing: some Djoker haters complained in the Live Comm. thread that his grey shirt which he changed at the end of 2nd set into looks like a training shirt or "peasantrish".
That was the charmbringer, it feels in retrospect.
