A whole bunch of tards coming out of the Ruins. As big of a surprise as seeing No2e faking again. Sad to see that a whole fan base of the so called boat seems to be over the moon just because of some MM tournament.
Poor guys have suffered so much.

Good match from both though. Djokovic was better but Murray is back to his old choking habits when it matters most. Credit to him for fighting like a mad man though.

I learned my lesson when it comes it betting on Murray.

Heading to Australia Murray seems to be fitter and having an extra day of rest before the final cause of his ranking might be crucial if these 2 meet again. Especially if Murray plays more aggressively or serves better and manages to save more energy. We'll have to see how will this match affect Murray mentally though. If I were his fan I'd be very worried about that.

Not a day goes by without me picturing poor Nalbandian shaking his head in disbelief thinking about Mugray having 3 slam titles to his name while his slam count remains a big fat zero.

I used to think that if these two played faster paced tennis against each other it would be a more enthralling spectacle. Some real high-tempo stuff in there tonight, but gawd....the same formulaic plays against each other time after time. I don't blame them for sticking to what they think is their optimum plays, but just as an excercise in mind stiumlation....it could send me to sleep.

Anyway, a pretty high level from both....really not much between them at all. As ever, Murray could do with being ever so slightly more aggressive and stop leaving it until the tight moments to up his level.

The way these guys are playing....and the rest of the field....could be a looong season!

Djokovic looked like he wanted to win, opposite from the Verdasco match. Murray up and down, very hot and cold. Hit some incredible shots to save early match points but then sort of faded in the final set in pressure moments

Good match, Nole was much better than in the previous couple of months. Still I consider this win trivial in the long run. If he does poorly at AO it's going to be a major fuck up for the rest of the season. Do not stop training like after RG Nole.

Novak has mastered all or almost all elements of the game. He is the best in several categories and top 10 in almost all others. He can use any counter-measure (and on a very high level) against the opponent's strong points and is far more skilled in other game elements. If someone is a poor returner, Novak will utilize his serve. If someone relies too much on serve, Novak will demolish him with strong returns. In rallies against opponents who have huge stamina and good defence, he aims for winners. In rallies against ballbashers and redliners, he turns into a brick wall and cannot be punched back. And the beauty of all? He wins all the time.

Simply the greatest master of this game.

From what I saw, Djokovic played well in the latter part of the 1st Set to win it, and Murray started to wobble a bit, but then the intensity and level did rise as the match goes on. 2nd Set was impressive from Murray, showing why he is the World #1. Djokovic had MP's on his serve, but Murray stayed at the moment as there were times that Djokovic looked a bit timid to actually go the extra level on his shots, while Murray did, getting the break back and focused on really drilling the missed opportunity for Djokovic at the end of that. 3rd Set had it close for Murray to finally really finish Djokovic, but Djokovic really fought well to stay on par. And yet, when having that lead, Djokovic still wasn't able to close it out, getting broken again. However, Murray went average and Djokovic upped his aggression a bit, and broken back, and was again serving for the title. Djokovic closed it relatively comfortably and stopped Murray's remarkable win streak.

Luckily nolevolent is a huge coward so I don't have to rock an embarrassing sig for the next month. I learned my lesson when it comes it betting on Murray.

Only watched the first set. I'll have to catch up later. But I saw the best version of Djokovic in months, which is encouraging.

I hope he improves for the AO

Where must we go, we who wander this wasteland, in search of our better selves?
