beat Roger,,,, much easy in TMS than GS??? WHY?

I think Best 5 set Match, in GS. That's still too tough to beat Roger.

BUT Best 3 set Match will be much easy.

Why?

We got the answer from Rogers Masters and Western & Southern Financial Group Masters.

Maybe Muarry and Roger Match, that just a kidding.

But we saw
Federer
Tursunov
6-3, 5-7, 6-0

Federer
Malisse
7-6(7-4), 6-7(5-7), 6-3

Federer
Gonzalez
6-1, 5-7, 6-3

Federer (1) «
Gasquet
2-6, 6-3, 6-2
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
That means more play can win a set against Roger in TMS, They just don't know how to close a Match. Those Match is very close, you may not agree with me

But, IF you are really understand Tennis Match, You will know what I talking about.

Those guy did so bad in Final Set, why, They don't think They is going to take a win when they play 3rd Set against Roger.

Typical federer TMS match:

1st set: Configuration normal mode. Federer does just enough to close out a close 1st set and keep the crowd happy.

2nd set: Configuration experiment mode. Federer experiments with weird tactics that may or may not help him beat Nadal in the future and ends up losing the set.

3rd set. Configuration playing Roddick mode. Opponent gets bitch slapped and Federer wins 3rd set.

and just in case your wondering what happened during Murray match.

Set 1: Configuration normal mode interrupted by excessive noise from external source. After further analysis external source causing noise identified as Brad Gilbert.

Set 2: Configuration screw this mode. Since first set didn't go according to plan it is time to tank and fly to New York.

Yes, Fed would be more vulnerable in TMS, because some happen to be back to back events. Winning a TMS would mean winning 6 matches in 7 days, and to fly to another TMS and play suddenly is pretty brutal to the mind and body. That's what happened to Fed I suppose.

Amen to hitchhiker's analysis.

JC, it's not exactly like Roger does a lot of losing in the TMS events. Yes, it's easier to post an upset in a best of three set match. Yes, Roger cares more about Grand Slams than he does about TMS titles.

Love the theory

Maybe he's easier to beat in TMS cos GS's mean a lot more to him than TMS, they are the one everyone wants to win, yeah it's great if you win a TMS and shows you're a good tennis player but winning a GS, well that goes down in history forever and is never forgotten.

Other players "win" the sets against Federer, while Federer wins the match because "guy did so bad in Final Set", since Federer wins matches most of the time and rarely loses sets, its more probable to think that Federer did "so bad" in those sets he lost that week and imposed his game in the third set... just going by logic..

And of course its easier in a TMC, im sure Federer and some other top players would not work his butt as hard in a TMC than in a grand slam... you should know which events are more important... again going by logic!

A service notice for Pete..

Does he really believes this is the same Federer of then?
