Re: WWW? 2017 Doha

This will be an easy title for Nole and also a nice preparation tourney before the AO.

Re: WWW? 2017 Doha

Karlovic might be dangerous, but his form at the end of last year didn't indicate that. Also prolly Khachanov could defeat him.

I expect Murray-Tsonga and Goffin-Djokovic semifinals, and a Murray-Djokovic final.
Wouldn't predict who will win right now, need to see their first matches for that.

Re: WWW? 2017 Doha

I think a Mugray-Djokovic F is in order, maybe even at the AO too, we'll see, what other player(s) will do damage in Doha: Tsonga? Berdych? Goffin? lol....

At the AO: Rogie? Rafa? Raonic? Wawrinka? Who else is there really? Seems these two are destined for a lot of finals matchups in 2017 potentially unless others start stepping up!

Re: WWW? 2017 Doha

I think Sir Murray will win, but anything is possible at the start of the year. But on the other hand, Djokovic came out with no intention of histrionics here at Doha last year.

Ivo has never been good indoors. On a very good serving day he can be tricky. Still Novak should be prepared for it. And yes Karen could make it, wouldn't mind seeing that match since Karen gave Nishikori a very good scare at USO.

Re: WWW? 2017 Doha

Looks pretty awful to me and with Djokovic/Murray there it's an even bigger reason why I will not follow this tournament closely. I personally find matches without them more exciting as they're a bit too dominant and I don't think I need to explain about the matches between them

I'll stick to Brisbane and Hopman Cup. A lot more interesting to me.

Goffin looks to be in good form, he often does decently against Novak. Him or Karlovic can challenge Novak, as we all know Ivo dominates the h2h against Novak

Would like to see Murray win this. Think it would be great for the sport if he went in to the AO with a 30+ win streak.

I think Murray should be determined to keep his unbeaten streak going. The longer he goes unbeaten the more of an aura builds around him. The psychological factor is crucial in tennis.
