Federer the greatest... BY FAR!

Hi, I'm new. I know that this subject has been discussed many times but after reading the boards for a while now, I had to respond!

All this talk about Federer vs Sampras, jeez! When you watch Federer play, it all feels so smooth, he outplays everyone without any effort. His shots (EVERY SHOT) are so perfect and seem so natural, he's just a genius. Perfect offense, perfect defense, perfect movement, perfect net play, perfect baseline, perfect mental strength, perfect serve, etc. He's just BETTER than anyone who has ever played the game. Pete was great, but he depended on his serve and he was very one dimentional. His game was very boring and limited compared to Federer. Federer outplays his opponents in EVERY departement. When Pete was winning, you can basically give him Wimbledon because of his serve, but Roger is just a clear favorite basically everywhere he's winning several slams a year all over the world. And even on clay, the last 2 years he lost at the French to probably the best clay courter of this generation, otherwise nobody else would have stopped him while someone like Sampras lost to tons of people on clay. Roger Federer is just so complete and can do incredible shots time and time and time again, he's just at another level.

You know, when Pete retired, I never had dreamed that his record would ever be beaten. But Roger will do it and so easily, he's just by far the greatest. Nobody comes close. Nobody!

Re: Federer the greatest... BY FAR!

I agree with you 100%: we should all start threads every few hours reminding everyone about how fuckin great roger is. because clearly, not everyone is smart enough to figure it out for themselves.

It's just you don't want to have a lot of expectations, because when you start to have a lot of expectations you just end up losing in the third round to God knows who. ~Marat Safin, summarizing his career

No comment:
Mawie: he kinda reminds me of me, he feels obligated to have every sentence be a joke
Maggie Tulliver: and he takes his clothes off when he sees a camera
Maggie Tulliver: it's a little pathetic
Maggie Tulliver: it's like his first reaction

I, TOO, think Federer is the GREATEST EVER...

Federer the greatest... BY FAR!
For those who think we dont need to remind ourselves why Federer is the greatestt, I ask them...Why Not? Haha. 6 more and Federer will have the most slams in history but he is a living legend at 25.

I request not only a deletion, but a temporary embargo on Just Cause (Unjust Cause would be a more appropriate title) creating any more threads in GM.

The Wit and Wisdom of the Tennis Journalist, Indian Wells 2004

ROGER FEDERER: Yeah, I remember this one time when I went on a vacation on the Maldives. That was in the year 2001, I think. I went to this spa. I went to walk around with my girlfriend. I walk in, and we want to book a spa. This guy goes, "AHH, I remember you. You beat Sampras. I saw you on TV." That was like, really, how can you remember me? This guy has probably never been off his island and still knows me. I was a little bit shocked. Then I went to play tennis with him because he was actually the tennis teacher. It was nice.

Q. Were you naked at the time in the spa?

ROGER FEDERER: No. It was at the front desk. I didn't walk in naked.

His user name explains so nicely his reasons for starting threads, though.

I request not only a wipeout, but a ban on Sjengster's posting having nothing meaningful to contribute other than having bitter posts.

What do you mean? Either way, I say only good thing in my posts, unlike some pointless thread posters/hateful posters/garbage posters.
