Should James Blake get more credit?

Since he was the only player who has taken a set off Federer before the final, and was the only one who had him down (set point down in the first set)

Re: Should James Blake get more credit?

I think James has enough money in the bank to cover any credit card debts.

On Nadal bumping him on the changeover, Rosol said: "It's ok, he wanted to take my concentration; I knew he would try something".

Wilander on Dimitrov - "He has mind set on imitating Federer and yes it looks good. But he has no idea what to do on the court".

Re: Should James Blake get more credit?

I've just noticed a tendency on this board for people to say negative things about James, and how he doesn't belong in the top ten etc; Obviously he does belong there since he technically was the 2nd best player in the tournament.

Some people might feel that way about Blake but they say worse things about other top ten-ers..

And what do you mean when you say he is technically the second best player in the tournament? I don't mean that in a mean way, I'm just wondering in which way you meant it

"Technically" because he troubled the BEST player in the tournament the most. I don't know the stats of every single match played, so I can say for sure he was the 2nd best player.

Should Blake get more credit in the media? Definitely not. Should he get more credit on MTF? Yes.

I understand what you mean, but just because Blake troubled Federer most doesn't mean a different player couldn't have given the number one as much or more trouble in the same situation, if their draw had provided it

And do you mean credit from the media? Because he gets a lot of that.

If you meant more credit here then you have to take into account that this is a site for fans and, you know, we have our players we like and the ones we don't like and we don't have to act professionally here about players we don't like hehe

That's not saying I don't like Blake. There's no tennis player I "don't like"
