Federer and Nadal sure, if they get to their middle range best level and can last a full season (none of them did this year).
Tsonga could be a good call if he could avoid injuries (not managed to pull that off this past season).
I also see that Berdych could do it for the last time, but his recent form was really dire. It looks like he and Ferrer will be dropping in rankings fast in next few months.
Nadal Berdych and Federer for me still have a chance.
Federer missed most of the season and still ended up 16th. Berych missed USO and had a poor second half of the season. Nadal was 8th and also dealt with injuries.
It's not a guarantee by any stretch of the imagination but I think they still have chances.
RAFA already qualified this year and he's 30 and if not for injury, he could have been the 2nd favourite behind Murray considering djokovic's slump and guru drama. ta a shame he had to miss out...
Next year, if he stays healthy and djokovic's decline continues he'll not only qualify but win it. You can quote me next year

Federer managed to finish #16 this year despite playing only seven tournaments, so a full season next year would almost guarantee him a WTF place.
Nadal is still good enough on clay to be reaching QF/SF/better in all the big clay events, which gives him a big points bonus even if he loses left, right, and centre in the grass/hard tournaments.
Personally I think Tsonga, Gasquet, Berdych, and Ferrer have all played their last WTFs. The decline we saw from them this year will only get worse in 2017.
Federer will obviously. Nadal would be next. Then Tsonga and Berdych. Dunno about the rest; they could have random resurgences (like Gasquet) but I wouldn't bet any money on it.
Federer and Nadal can both certainly do it assuming they can stay healthy. Berdych and Tsonga can do it too but it's pretty unlikely at this point. Berdych has been pretty disappointing this year outside of the grand slams and he's struggling with injuries right now. Tsonga is inconsistent as always and it seems like he's always injured as well. Gasquet and Ferrer have almost no chance. They've declined too much and Gasquet has that recurring back injury to deal with.
kind of a silly thread, Nadal fairly easily was qualified for the WTF considering he didn't even play the last few events in 2016 and also considering he basically missed BOTH RG and Wimbledon.....
then of course Federer was out for roughly HALF of the season yet still remains at like rank 16.
Nadal and Federer almost certainly will qualify again next year
Nadal just needs a good clay season. He'll make at least one more.
Berdych is 50/50, I suppose he might scrape in once more.
Tsonga almost certainly not.
Federer can if he stays fit but I can't see him making more than 1 WTF
Gasquet and Ferrer are pretty much done as top 10 players.
Roger will easily qualify if he plays the full season.
Nadal will scrap through if he manages to play a full season.
Berdych would have most likely qualified this year if he had played the US Open so I suspect he will also scrap through.
Jo Willy can be one of the two alternatives but not sure if he will ever make the season ending top 8 ever again.
Ferrer unfortunately and Gasquet are done as top 8 players and they would likely continue to slide down the rankings in 2017.
Federer and Nadal will easily if they stay fit for the year and I suspect Tsonga fits under that category too. Ferrer will be lucky to ever get back top 16, he could even slide further. Gasquet will hover around 10-16 as usual, and Berdych getting in the 8 will depend on the continued rise of the likes of Zverev and Kygrios, as he certainly is on the decline now.
I can't wait for Tsonga, Berdych, Gasquet et al. to drop out of relevance. The top needs fresh faces so badly. And if I'm being extra honest, I'd much rather see fresh faces in the top 10 than see Fed and Nadal claw their way back to the top.

But this poll is a question about prediction, not about our wsh or what we hope for.
I too wish the somewhat "youngish" (we are already stretching the meaning of the word) generation will turn out much better next year, but the forecast (and reality) has been quite bleak in at least the past two years.
Roger and Rafa will be at least top 6 in the final of the next season, Will not be easy take away Raonic and Kei From the 3 and 5 place if they not get injured.
Whenever Steve puts this forum into limbo there is a glitch in the matrix that allows double votes. If anyone asks you how Rojie wins the mtf polls for the best backhand, best goat et cetera now you have the answer.
Federer and Nadal will. Gasquet is the only other that I think could, so I selected him despite my doubts.
The one player there who has absolutely no chance is David Ferrer. Tsonga isn't much further behind. Berdych could, but it seems unlikely. Lets hope he doesn't.
I think Nadal and Berdych can get back in there. Both would have made it this year (Berdych missed out due to missing the USO). Federer maybe - but he will be 36 next season and it'll be difficult to keep up a high level of play, especially as he won't have the benefit of a high seeding to begin the season.
Tsonga's not qualified since 2012 so I don't see him making it back there now. Ferrer has declined so he likely won't make it, neither will Gasquet.
Really though the majority of these players have had their time at the WTF. Time for the younger players to qualify instead.
Of course they will. For years now, men's tennis lacks depth in competition. A nobody (I know it's disrespectful, but come on...) like Berdych can stay at the top for a long time without significant results and still manage to play 6 WTFs. Says enough. So better players like Federer and Nadal are probably going to play more WTFs. Look at how close they were this year. Injured Rafa did qualify and Roger as #16 and inactive post-Wimbledon was only 1.200 points behind #8 in the race to London.
