Federer reaches final: beats Davydenko 6-1, 7-5 6-4

A few shakes but a decent performance. Great first set. Broken once in both the second and third sets but rallied and broke again. Missed two match points at 5-4 40-15 before finally rounding it out.

Good luck in the final 6th in a row.

6 GS finals in a row. That has got to be a record, right?

Good of Roger to not make fitness an issue. He has played a lot of best of 5 setters the last few days, but has only lost one set, so he shouldn't be too tired tomorrow.

He got a bit complacent to get broken in the third but still a good win.

Boring match. Hopefully Andy can make it to the finals and give Roger a decent match for once.

"What kind of shape am I in now? Well round is a shape." said Roddick with a laugh. "I had a very detailed retirement plan, and I feel like I've met every aspect of it: a lot of golf, a lot of carbs, a lot of fried food, and some booze, occasionally — I've been completely committed ... The results have shown."

Also equalled the record for most semi finals in a row by beating Blake. 10 and counting.

Davydenko won 11 games. Why isn't anyone writing it's the beginning of an end of Roger's domination?

They would have done but actually Davydenko only won 10 games so it's okay.
