Just a question. How much television coverage did BBC Sport used to cover of Tennis. Now they just have GB Davis Cup ties, Aussie Open, French Open, Queens, Eastbourne and Wimbledon. Plus the Albert Hall Seniors event.
They used to do the Samsung Open from Bournemouth which then moved to Brighton. They did the Battersea indoor open from London. If I remember they have even screened matches from Bangkok, Basle and Vienna in the past.
Have BBC Sport ever screened US Open coverage before SKY??
The BBC have an option for any Australian and French Open coverage. This year BBC screened all night session action LIVE on BBC i, and LIVE coverage of thw Mens and Womens finals on BBC One/Two. For the French Open, there was LIVE coverage on BBC i from 10am-end of play every single day of the championships.
So what does that mean regarding the ES coverage for you Brits? I guess, BBC doesnt have an exclusive deal for the Aussie Open like Sky does for the US Open, right?
It's pretty pointless atm though seeing as I'm moving to Uni in a month. I've always wanted it for sport and that but my parents have argued that it would interefer with my education, which is probably true. It's basically one of the first thinfa I plan to buy after I get a place of my own though.
