I can't figure Safin out (big surprise!
), but seriously I would like to get opinions on how serious you think Safin is about tennis right now. He could of definitely beat Haas today and he did not seem tired to me. I am just not sure he is "hungry" enough.
We all know how he went on a 1-2 year party spree after winning the 2000 US Open. And I know he has had injuries over the past couple years but do you think he is just "going through the motions" or really wants to be back on top?
He is one of the most talented, naturally gifted players and is so great to watch. Such variety of shots! Not the boom, boom tennis that gets so boring. I want him back!!!
Fan of: Federer and Safin. Respect: Nadal, Baghdatis, Nalbandian
