Congrats on a third straight US Open Federer

Hoping someone can take a set off him but doubt it, everyone who can trouble him lost tody.

Nadal, Safin, Gasquet & Murray will try and give him a better workout at the Aussie open.

The ATP deserves a better class of player, and I'm gonna give it to 'em - Djoker

Murray got lucky. Stupid ugly-forehand prick.

Roddick's going to dominate Federer in straight sets. Write it down. A-Rod + Connors= Pwnage.

Roddick. Henman. Safin.

True Champions

Well he's not there yet. The draw is rapidly emptying of players he feels the need to worry about too much, but complacency must be avoided - he still has three matches to win yet.

I was actually waiting for someone to make this thread. Only took an hour after Rafa's match ended. Not bad.

Re: Congrats on a third straight US Open Federer

Rafa wasn't going to win even if he got to the finals against Fed. Just a feeling that this wasn't his tournament. I'm not surprised by these results. Fed still doesn't have this wrapped up. There are other players that can bother Fed.

Just an humble Fed fan

I doubt it - Deb has too much class to endorse this brand of horseshit.

Who that's left in the draw??

I'm a fan of both Fed and Nadal. I just want to see a real match in the final. If Fed wins, more power to him, but I'd like to see someone that could give him a game before they hand over the winner's check.

Re: Congrats on a third straight US Open Federer

Dont be so bitter, Blake, Davydenko and Roddick are tricky opponents. I think Roddick could be as difficult to beat as Nadal in a possible final for Federer. I really think that if Nadal would have come to the final playing like this Federer would win in 4 sets. Facing Blake and Roddick now infront of a fanatic american audiance will be interesting. Davydenko is extremly underrated and so very consistent from the baseline.

Re: Congrats on a third straight US Open Federer

FEderer is not in a period when he plays his best game and therefore he is still not a lock in this tournament. If he doesn't lift his game tomorrow Blake could do damage. But if he beats Blake I think he will defend the title easily.
