I do agree that the AELTC could be a bit more flexible with the scheduling though - 1.00pm is FAR too late for a Show Court start when this weather has been forecast here for a long while now. People are queuing for the Show Courts overnight and gates already open at 9.30am, so there wouldn't be a shortage of people to fill the seats for a 10.00am start - the only ones that would be missing would be the corporate hospitalily guests - and that would be a shame wouldn't it
Gee, isn't that what the posters from the U.S. were saying last year? It's not only the USO that gets rained on.

I like tennis outdoors, so I'm not going to complain about rain. It's just part of the deal. It's been raining at Wimbledon for a hundred years. It's ok with me.

Re: The Rain Haters thread

Vass22 that gives me an idea, maybe if there is no tennis tomorrow, I will create endless debate threads like

Is there a god?

Men vs. Women, who is better?

Do reputation beads really matter?

The coolest tennis player is?

man I could even make a thread about making pointless threads...lol...the rain is driving me insane...literally..

Re: The Rain Haters thread

Maybe they're scheduling matches to start late 'coz of security. Maybe it's delaying people at queues. Check this out

Wimbledon blows. This is just one of the many many reasons why.

I lack direction.

Chocking makes me sad.

Re: The Rain Haters thread

I think wimbledon should be played in a sunny place like spain, and on clay!

:P

I miss: Ivan Lendl, Korda, Novak, Bruguera, Rios, Kucera, Courier, Mantilla, Costa, Santoro and Ferreira.

Good luck to:

Gaudio, Murray, Florian Mayer, Chela, Nalbandian, Radek Stepanek, Volandri, Youzhny and Verdasco.

Re: The Rain Haters thread

I was over Wimbledon before it even started. Seriously....a roof people...that is all that is needed...and how is it going to take 3-4 years to build one....there is no point in building a retractable one....it would never be open, they could slap one on in a month! If not, use that freaking tarp that they use to cover the court when it actually starts raining to cover the hole above. *throws things*

GOOD LUCK

Fernando Verdasco | Paul-Henri Mathieu | Richard Gasquet

Jo-Wilfried Tsonga | Marat Safin | Juan Carlos Ferrero | Carlos Moya | David Nalbandian | Mathieu Montcourt | Nicolas Mahut

What a brilliant idea I might even watch it then! Btw - the weather's even worse here this morning - heavy rain and strong winds kept me awake all night last night - don't hold out much hope for much/any play today.
