Re: The Rain Haters thread

I love rain (especially this one) because it will allow me to watch live Moyá vs Hewitt. If the match is played tonight I won't have any chance to see it cuz the smartasses from ESPN are showing a boring and nonsensical american football match

He is probably going to lose the 1st set then!

Re: The Rain Haters thread

eerrrrr ...I hate rain and I hate live scores...sorry but I'm really angry 'cause ESPN was going to show the match, then came the rain so they began to show Roddick-Coria's match (2003)...and then, since it did not stop raining they said: "This one was ESPN's transmission...bla bla bla...tomorrow, Coria v/s Safin..see you later..." ESPN: I hate you too

I agree, but I do wish that they had realized that the rain was not going to stop consistently enough to resume play, and pushed the whole match to tomorrow. This can't be good for the playas.

Yes, but the problem is that it's Carlos who is down 0-30 on his serve, so it's worse for Carlos to continue at this score, serving to stay in the set. Lleyton could give this game easily away and nothing happens.

A 6-4 for Lleyton here could mean the neckbreaker for Carlos.. we all know how it's sometimes going with him...

Re: The Rain Haters thread

This is ludicrous!

I hope this is the last time they play the TMC outdoors in the northern hemisphere. Thank God for the next three years it will be in Shanghai under the roof so we will not have this preposterous scenario of rain delays- I have a feeling this TMC will be worse than Wimbledon and last year's U.S Open combined

Re: The Rain Haters thread

Well the times they did clean off the court so far today, they got it done rather quickly, so that's good at least. They can't do anything about the venue or the weather at this point, so let's just hope it's not as bad as the forecasts are predicting and that they continue to clean it off fast and stuff. And at least the volume of matches is NOTHING like that which they have to deal with at a slam.

*fingers crossed*
