Gicquel thrashes Ferrero, 7-5 6-3 6-4

Oh dear

The match wasn't televised but judging by the score, JCF was totally outplayed. Gicquel held all his service games with relative ease while JCF was constantly under pressure on his own serve.

I really thought he'd turned around seeing him reach the final in Cincy.

Re: Gicquel thrashes Ferrero, 7-5 6-3 6-4

And Federer is sitting in front of TV and laughing as f*ck...

Tell me please - was it that JCF so bad or Gicquel so brilliant? I think the first one, but who knows. As I could see on sb in the last set JCF was defending many BPs while the frenchman was easily passing through

As in the Ljubicic case, there's one thing to say...

Goooo SAFIN ~ BERDYCH ~ MURRAY ~ SIMON ~ NALBANDIAN ~ SODERLING

Re: Gicquel thrashes Ferrero, 7-5 6-3 6-4

JCF never really got into this tournament. He was reported to have been angry throughout his 1st round match.

It doesn't sound like he was fully focused on his tennis.

FYI:
That's 5 slams in a row now that JC has lost to someone older than him.
