How to become ranked?

Hi, I am 16 and I play tennis but my school doesnt have any tennis club/team. I was just wondering how does one go about being national ranked? or what should I do I get started?

Get into a challenger or future event. How come u never played the juniors though considering you are an American? That tells me that you really are not that good. Practice more and join a club that holds an international event, then u may have the slightest chance of playing. Dont be surprised to find many who are way better than you are at your age.

He may just mean "rated" (3.0, 3.5, etc.), not ranked. If he is that good, I bet he can find someone that knows about ranking. If he just means rated, any tennis pro can do that.

20 if you believe July 10th is his birthday and today is August 25th.

lol okay 20, since when does 20 mean 16 anywhere in the world?

and no bullshit about "i had to enter a fake b-day in order to sign up". not true, MTF allows me to show 1989 as my year of birth just fine.

Yeah, USTA is great. If you win matches, you will get to the top.

Re: How to become ranked?

Sorry for the confusion, I'm actually 16.
How can I sign up / compete in the juniors or the usta?
