Re: Hopman Cup 2017

Good list overall but is that Spanish team the best they could get? One more big name player and it would be great. And Pavlasek is an odd signing with so many more established Czech players (Berdych, Rosol, Vesely, Stepanek). I wish they tried to get Stepanek. And while Gasquet isn't a bad signing in any way, they could have tried for another, similar budget player like Tsonga or even Pouille (he was an AO doubles semi-finalist)

I hope that Nishikori and Osaka play one year, and maybe Cilic and Konjuh. Having Khachanov and Sharapova would be good too.

Hopman Cup RR: Gasquet def. Zverev 7-5 6-3

Great level from Zverev till the break in the first, his BH did some serious damage. Missed a couple of chances to win win the set later and went into complete shit mode afterwards.

Glad that he has stopped playing with the limited Zverev edition of his racquet, the original design of the new Graphene Speed looks much better.

Fernando Verdasco - Dominic Thiem

A. Zverev - Nishikori - Pouille - Tomic
