Federer recovery... Any news?

Does anyone have any news about how's Fed doing? Anything aside the few instagram pics of him "hiking"?
It's been strangely quiet around him all this time... almost silent.

There was some pics of him on tennisworldusa but they disappeared after 20 mins. He is in Dubai already. Obviously Fed and his team got to know something about all
these TUE and they got angry. Maybe they do not allow tennis media to use his brand name.

Federer said in his recent series of interviews for the ATP website that after being in Switzerland with friends and family he would be heading to Dubai cause of the warmer climate he needs to practice and workout in.

I wonder if he's receiving the same treatment Nadal did, before two of his very successful years.

Any TUE granted? Seriously, they should start posting all their TUEs. Why do they make hackers do their job?!

I do not think so. But Mr Djokovic maybe received such a treatment. Otherwise his father would not be so sure that his son will win 10 GS more. Plus J McEnroe,Mats Wilander and BBecker were so supportive for Mr Djokovic who became like second Nadal. Federer has never played like Djokovic or Nadal running for every ball to put in . But who knows maybe soon we will get more info.

To my understanding his schedule has not been confirmed. I wouldn't believe he would give up Wimby.

Congratulate Rafa on an amazing comeback. I don’t think either of us would believe we would be in the Final of the Australian Open when we saw each other at your academy 4 or 5 months ago . I’m happy for you. I would have been happy to lose too. The comeback was perfect as it was. Tennis is a tough sport, there is no draws. If there’s gonna be one, I would have been happy to accept it tonight and share it with Rafa really.

Re: Federer recovery... Any news?

The only thing I know about Federer is that he will be a player of Bautista Agut's caliber in the end of the year. Rankings don't lie.

You can safely disregard everything pepita writes about the topic. Your understanding is correct. The "schedule" is just tournaments he's already made agreements with. He's got plenty of time to add others.

I'm glad to see you think rankings don't lie. Federer was #1 for 302 weeks, Nadal for 141 weeks. No lie there.

Lol. Del Potro and Wawrinka will be hyped to the sky. So they could pleased Fed .
Why has a member of ATP went to Switzerland to get an interview with Fed during USO when he said he will not play to the end of the year?! What does he know ?!
He has not beaten Nadal in GS since 2007 when Fed was at 26 only!!!!

This thread should be merged with Official Federer knee injury thread

(or just deleted, really; OP's baiting is about as subtle as a sledgehammer to the head)

Re: Federer recovery... Any news?

The only Swiss players I ever found worthwhile was Hingis and Wawrinka, so I don't think Federer is needed on the tour.
But even if he can't offer the game anything, the game can certainly offer him something.
