There's assholes in every country... I wouldn't judge Australia by the behaviour of two clowns like Kyrgios and Tomic. I find Australians to be very nice people, in my experience.
Let's not assume a certain infamous pair are representative of all Australia's tennis players. If you wanted to, you could find awful behavior from prominent sportspeople in every country, doesn't mean that their nation has some responsibility or accountability for their actions.
Let Bernie and Nick jack around and be idiots - they are. Doesn't mean they'll always be idiots, and doesn't mean that we should publicly focus on their behaviour instead of the hard work and gallantry of characters like Johnny Millman, who was fantastic today.
I'm proud of a lot of Aussie tennis players. And sometimes, when they deserve it, I'm even proud of Nick and Bernie.
i totally agree. i'd also be proud of players like millman, thompson and duckworth. nothing wrong with them, solid players with constant good effort and attitude.
The behavior of youth in Westernized countries such as USA, UK, Australia, Canada is pretty messed up. The divorce rates are increasing and parents don't care to tell kids what is right and what is wrong; even if they do, not all kids are willing to listen and obey their parents because it intrudes their independence. For example, Ryan Lochte's Rio Olympics lying incident. They carry the same attitudes on to their jobs and professional lives. Everything is a game, like "the game" in the dating scene.
Tomic went from "epic 5 set match against Lleyton Hewitt in his last match at the US Open" on the old Grandstand last year to "I'll put my balls in your mouth" on the old grandstand this year. Sure.
TOMIC has been in Australia since the age of 3, was raised here on the Gold Coast, and learned his tennis here.
He is a full Australian as far as I am concerned. (just like Milos Raonic is for Canada)
Unlike the likes of Jelena Dokic, he has not turned his back on the country that has given him his chance, and remained loyal to Australia in Davis Cup etc.
OP needs an update (or just basic information :lol
