What an idiot. Like there's any danger of him winning the event. :spit:

All Kyrgios has going for him is that serve. Other than that his game is pretty one dimensional much of the time. Since he doesn't really care it seems he'll never develop the other aspects of his game. Seems like he'll just be another streaky player or not depending on if he's actually serious about retiring early. Idiot, is all I can say.

Is there a reason for anyone to become a fan of this guy, with such an attitude, even if, let's say, he will be a multiple slams winner by 27? I understand it is his life and he can do whatever he wants in his life.

Don't get me wrong. I love tennis. But, if I am cheering for someone and investing my hope in someone to do well and to bring in great results on the court, I would like to see that player to play at least 10 to 15 years of good tennis, and maybe also with a hope that the player will elevate tennis to a step higher than what it is now.

He's a tool. A complete and utter bloody tool. That's what he is! I seriously, genuinely, AM FUCKING BORED OF HIM.

I don't wanna hear it anymore.

How shallow are people to give this joke attention? He acts like a prat and so that means he goes against convention and is by default the coolest guy to meet the planet of sport? Get outta here. He's a wannabe. Desperate to be cool.

I tweeted this shit the other day. If you like Kyrgios you are either 12 years old or possess the mind of somebody that is.

is there any chance at all he's just trolling everyone and just saying this to get a reaction?

because if this is how he really feels then i just..i dont know. i dont understand how anyone could be a fan of this guy if this is genuinely what he thinks. its got to be frustrating for guys who didicate their levs to tennis and struggle day in and day out and then you have someone like this who doesnt even care and yet could win a slam and has 2 titles

One dimensional tweetbot that can only beat a declining Fedal on their worst surfaces.

Nothing more, nothing less.

I just realized...maybe the dude's joking? Like, maybe he has a sense of humor (albeit a lame one) unlike this forum?:stupid::cuckoo:

The guy's #16 in the world, he's been doing this since he was super young, he was a top junior, he's won two tournaments, he's been deep in masters and done decently at the slams. If he truly didn't care about tennis he would have given up a long time ago and would be nowhere near the top 100. Is he a mug? Definitely. Does he care about tennis? Obviously, you can just tell by how freaking heated he gets all the time.

Sad that he gets the opportunity to play main draws of Masters and GS tournaments with his ability all while hating the sport, while there are people who love tennis and bust their balls just to qualify for a 250. Disgusting.

It's just an image thing. Kyrgios loves to embrace the whole bad boy image, he's the cool outspoken guy that's supposed to not give a damn about tennis...etc.

Kyrgios will continue to play tennis for as long as he can. Why would anyone quit a job that you can do better than 99% of the people who has ever picked up a racket before? Will he ever get a job where he can make as much money as he can playing tennis?

Don't get it twisted, playing tennis is what he loves to do.

Is Pokemon Go still a "thing" in the world these days?

Maybe he's ahead of the curve playing "Pong Go" which only the coolest of the cool people have heard of, and it's way better than Pokemon Go, and way way better than Angry Birds, and he's going to play it forever because it's the awesomest thing ever and he will play it for the rest of his life just as soon as he can get done with this crappy tennis stuff that is so boring and just gets in the way of having a good time.

It's always a bad idea to take seriously whatever a 18-21 year old says. A human being, particularly a male one, is an utterly glorious mess during that period. One tends to be more mature at the age of 12. Sure, you're a horrible mess when you are, say, 15. But you are at least half aware of that. All the embarrassment of 18-21 comes from this utterly false sense of security that you graduated from that messy period, even though you are still right in it in an even more twisted way. There's nothing more hideous than having to listen to a 20 year old going on about how stupid he was when he was 16, as it's hard to suppress the urge to say, "Yes, and you're an even worse ignorant prick right now."

I expect Nick to have a long career if injury-free. He probably genuinely thinks now that he wants to have a short rockstar life in this sport, which he probably feels "stuck" with, and bow out in glory in the end, but we all know life doesn't work that way. Ask those rockstars who failed to die young.
