Real question for me is whose dreams is Del Potro going to shutter! He's the floater that no seeds wants to play in first few rounds and one that can change the outcome, rest is pretty much set in stone.

the beast of Argentina smells blood and he wants blood.

who will step right up and be willing to be executed?

he will be gentle.

True dat, but since they are seeds nobody will face them until 3rd or 4th round and by then, due to their advance age and best of five format, they'll get tired and make mistake on their serve. Dr Ivo can take almost anyone on best of 3, best of 5 not that much.

In b4 Djokovic draws Delpo in the first round.

Set in stone?
Cannot predict who is winning it atm. 50-50 if you ask me.
Who cares about a R16 of Delpo, the winner will be the real question.

Wouldnt be surprised if Del Potro goes out to some 50+ ranked player in the first round. So far he had only one very good tournament, on scandalously slow surface, USO is different, he knows it well - yes, won here 7 years ago, all true, but when was the last time he played two good events in a row?

Well the game needed a huge story and they got it in Rio. Del Potro is Argentinian in SA. It was like fair tale. As it happened in Women tennis. Poulle beat Del Potro at Wimbledon but it did not make such a huge noise. Berdych and Isner beat Del Potro in 1rd matches but Djokovic "somehow" could not.

^ Well, Del Potro beat Djokovic in straight sets at the Olympics, but needed a final set tie-breaker to escape Nadal....
And Nadal won all 6 sets he played at Roland Garros.
Nadal has beaten Nishikori twice this year in straight sets, including on hardcourt.
And Nadal has beaten Murray this year.
And Nadal's biggest nemesis is Djokovic, and Nadal had Set Points in both sets of their most recent meeting.
So there is no proof that Nadal is "done", not even close.

You just forgot to mention the last time he played in a slam SF was like 10 slams ago and he's already over 30 yo. Even Federer won just one slam over 30 yo and he has bigger weapons.

Father Time caught Nadal, just accept it and will be less painful.

Last sixteen:

Djokovic-Gasquet
Tsonga-Cilic
Nadal-RBA
Monfils-Raonic

Thiem-Ferrer
Kyrgios-Wawrinka(!)
Nishikori-Goffin
Lopez-Murray
Who has Ferrer got in rounds 1, 2 and 3? I am too lazy to look.

Another cakewalk for Murray. Enough already.

Nothing amazing or unexpected there, you should get used to it, because Murray makes a lot of money for AO, USO, Wimb and other english speaking tournaments + TV houses, now that Fedal is not on the top anymore.

+ he is the only threat to Djokovic' dominance for quite some time and they (tournaments, TVs & ATP/ITF) need him in the SF/F as fresh as possible throughout the whole season.
