Gerald needs 10 withdrawals in total to get in, but should it happen I agree. Especially because he's currently playing a claycourt Challenger across the Atlantic and that would only be the ideal preparation for Oscar Hernandez.
Maybe Mmoh and McDonald. Delbonis and Pella are on a 6 match losing streak, Berlocq has played 1 HC match in the last year
Marchenko, Berankis, Bagnis ,Benjamin Becker and VEB are also not much of a threat.
All above players are currently on the entry list.
75% of the posters here didn't look at the entry list. There are quite a few walking bye's that as a qualifier in particular I'm want to draw:
- Mmoh: Easiest
- MacDonald
- Pospisil: Terrible form, but even in good form cramps up every year here and it will be hot next week
- Cervantes: Wouldn't win two qualy rounds either
- Janowicz
- Dutra Silva
- Bagnis
- Thompson
- Berlocq
- Elias
I also wouldn't mind drawing Florian Mayer. Has been on clay of late and has traditionally wilted in the New York heat.
I agree on Clezar/Sarkissian and Krstin/Myneni, but Fucsovics can definitely beat players in the MD. I have yet to see Satral play poorly in person, so I find it hard to see him as a walking bye.
