WWW? Rio Olympics R1: [1] Djokovic vs Del Potro

Now this deserves early WWW thread.

Some great matches between those two with excellent level of tennis. This will be rematch for London bronze medal game and their first meeting since 2013... But how things can change. In meantime Djokovic became strong GOAT candidate and Delpo... well ;(

Anyway Novak in 2, but hope Juan can give us at least some of his old magic.

Christ, what an epic R1 match.

Novak will win this time though, probably in 2, something like 7-5 6-3.

Nole is 11-3 against Del Potro (including an injury/retirement loss by Nole) and this will be 12-3 after this is over.

Djokovic in 2. Post comeback del Potro is not the player he once was, his BH is still a liability.

Another draw from hell for both players

If it's even half as good as their last few matches, it will be one of the best matches of the year. I suspect del Potro is too done for that, however.

That is really an OVERRATED match. Del Potro is nowhere near his 2012 level. Easy win for Djokovic in 2 sets.

No1e is the best player of all time (BOAT) and Nadal's master.

Just slice everything like in IW2013.

Joking, Nole is not bothered by slices much anymore.

Poor DelGOAT.
Nice to see the organisers have worked on making Djovack's draw reasonably tough, though.

On the one side it will be great to see them play each other, their matches are always entertaining, and on the other this is such bullshit to have it this early

NOVAK - DELPO - DAVY - ERNIE G.
