Will 2016 be the first year in the open era to have 2 players to win multiple slams?

Murray can make it happen if he wins the USO. Never before in one year have two players won two slams each.

He's low on confidence...yet he's just won Wimbledon again and had an amazing clay/grass season? Low on confidence?? Hahahahahahahahaha :haha:

It was Wimb'12-Wimb'13 stretch without RG entered, though, i.e. four GS finals out of four GS entered in 12.5 months period.

So, if Murray made the USO'16 finals without the title, his best 12.5 months period would still be Wimb'12-Wimb'13 or even arguably 10 months during USO'12-Wimb'13 with two GS + F compared to possible one GS + 3 F in about 8 months this year.

I believe this joint feat was only accomplished one other time in history, exactly 50 years earlier.
In 1967, Roy Emerson took the Australian Championships and the French Championships, and John Newcombe took the Wimbledon Championships, and the US National Championships. :worship:
