T. Gabashvili retired at setpoint

T. Gabashvili retired at 6-6 (4-6) in his match against S. Ianni

Professional fixer ?????? (some bookies do not void after 1 set completed)

or some bad injury ?????

Re: T. Gabashvili retired at setpoint

If he retired at set point, the set was not completed, so what you say about him fixing matches is a load of crap.

It must be a bad injury.

But maybe he bet on himself For example for his win in straight sets

Maybe he placed bets on HIM on odds or sets, but after IANNI got the setpoint, he didn't want to lose money.
It is fuc*ing joke to retire on setpoint. We are seeing so many matches in which so many players are fighting till the last breath.

Re: T. Gabashvili retired at setpoint

It was probably an injury, but he really should've waited to reitre until the first set was over, at least.

I hope he's okay.

Re: T. Gabashvili retired at setpoint

Who the heck is Ianni? He must have a day job. He's been playing in the futures for four years. Never won a challenger match. This was his first tour-level match. Is he independently wealthy?

Re: T. Gabashvili retired at setpoint

Ianni is one of the worst players I've seen play. He doesn't belong to a 2nd ATP round.

Re: T. Gabashvili retired at setpoint

I was playing a match the other day and right before match point my opponent had a really severe leg cramp. He ended up walking around and crap for literally 2 minutes and I thought he might quit. He ended up finally hitting a huge serve but I won the point later on an easy unforced error from him.

Andreev - Cilic - Dolgopolov - De Bakker - Djokovic - Gulbis - Haase - Hrbaty - J Johansson - Kucera - Kuznetsov - Russell - Simon - Sweeting - Thron

@ Gabashvili

Retiring at set point against with your opponent´s serve can´t mean anything but one
